Romke Hoogwaerts is a livestream and documentary producer, photographer and book designer based in Brooklyn.

He has produced documentary, livestream and narrative video for Performa, Marc Rebillet and many other independent artists, as well as commercial and editorial clients through Hekmor Media. His personal work includes Vreugdevuur Scheveningen, a photobook and documentary film on the subject of sparring bonfires, published by Gnomic (2018), screened at Full Frame Documentary Film Festival (2020*) and exhibited by Transmitter Gallery (2020).

He previously worked in photography as an independent editor, designer and publisher with Mossless and The Reservoir, and as a photo editor at Businessweek, NBCUniversal and NYT Mag. He was born in Atlanta, raised in Hong Kong, Genoa, Barcelona, Ho Chi Minh City and Singapore, and graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York City with a BFA in Visual & Critical Studies (2013).
