Romke Hoogwaerts is a multimedia producer, editor and designer based in Brooklyn, NYC. He was born in Atlanta and raised in Hong Kong, Genoa, Barcelona, Singapore and Vietnam, graduating from SVA in NYC with a degree in Visual & Critical Studies. He currently works as a video producer at Performa. He founded and edited Mossless, a multimedia magazine that interviewed hundreds of photographers, as well as having edited and designed The Reservoir, a webzine of conversations on the politics of image making. His personal work includes Vreugdevuur Scheveningen, a photobook and documentary film on the subject of sparring bonfires, published by Gnomic Book, debut screened at Full Frame Documentary Film Festival and exhibited by Transmitter Gallery. He previously worked as a photo editor at Businessweek, MSNBC and NYT Mag.
