Romke Hoogwaerts produces livestreams, documentary films and photobooks.
Through Hekmor he has worked with a variety of artists and commercial clients such as Performa, Marc Rebillet and NYCDSA. His personal work includes Vreugdevuur Scheveningen, a photobook and documentary film about a bonfire rivalry in The Netherlands. He previously ran independent print and web publishing project Mossless. He edited and designed The Reservoir, a photography webzine. As a photo editor he worked at Bloomberg Businessweek, NYTimes Mag and NBCUniversal. He was raised by Dutch parents in South East Asia and graduated from the School of Visual Arts with a BFA in Visual & Critical Studies in 2013.
